Anger the Universal Emotion
If you feel anger, you have come to the right place
and to the right person. Counselling sessions and Psychotherapy with Julian
D’Souza rsw msw. can help you to channelize your anger in a productive way.
Feeling and experiencing anger is natural. Anger is
a protective emotion but it does not allow you to address real feelings.
Feelings that matter and that can help you change for the better.
Just like an iceberg one needs to identify and work
through the feelings that matter that lay below the surface and in the
subconscious.
Anger is expressed due to some stressful trigger,
person, place or situation that occurs. You have an expectation that the
response or outcome to these happening needs to be in a way that you are
familiar with. The same response you have experienced in the past. A comfort
level you are used to and is predictable. When this expectation is not met you
feel frustrated, disappointed which are mild forms of anger.
On the far right is anger justified and a right to
be angry. As appropriate as it may be it is not productive and helpful. “you
may be 4000 percent right but it will not help the situation or a person to
come to resolution”. Justified anger calls for correcting the wrong, requiring
fair deals, restitutions, social justice and even making amends with
compensation. The later, as right as it may be, will prevent individuals from
moving on and letting go.
Julian D’Souza through psycho social education,
psychotherapy and counselling can help you address mild anger, distortions of
anger, serve expressions and outburst of anger.
Through counselling anger can be channelized, let go
and channelized within a span of three to four weeks.
